On occasion of World Intellectual Property Rights Day April 26th, the Property Rights Alliance(PRA) penned a letter signed by 54 global partners (including many WTA members) to World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Director General Francis Gurry in support of WIPO’s efforts to protect IP rights.
The letter notes that IP-intensive industries employ 30-38% of US and EU workforces and generate nearly 40% of their respective GDPs. The signatories affirm that IP rights grow economies, drive innovation, and enhance lives.

Lorenzo Montanari of PRA wrote an op-ed for Forbes on how intellectual property rights promote innovation and prosperity.
